2026 Ballon d’Or: ‘Best player from best club’ – Kroos names player to win award

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Former Germany midfielder, Toni Kroos, has said the 2026 Ballon d’Or award should go to Paris Saint-Germain forward, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

According to Kroos, the Georgia international enjoyed a better season than the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Rodri.

The former Real Madrid playmaker also claimed that Kvaratskhelia is playing for the best club in the world.

“The Ballon d’Or should go to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. He probably won’t win, but he’s the number one without hesitation,” Kroos said.

“The best World Cup players — Messi, Jude, Mbappé and Rodri — had average club seasons.

“Kvaratskhelia was the best player, at the best club in the world.”

Kroos’ comments come amid growing recognition of Kvaratskhelia’s outstanding 2025/26 campaign with PSG.
