2026 Ballon d’Or: He has the edge – Rummenigge predicts player to win award

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Former chairman of Bayern Munich’s executive board, Karl Heinz Rummenigge believes Harry Kane will win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

Rummenigge was the last footballer from the German club that won the prestigious individual prize.

He is now hoping to Kane can end the Bavarians’ wait to have another winner.

According to Rummenigge, the England captain has the edge over the other 29 nominees for this year.

Rummenigge said: “I was the last Bayern player to win the award, so I would like to see another Bayern player win it now.

“Harry Kane has the edge there – his goals and his trophies speak for themselves.”

The winner for the 2026 Ballon d’Or will be announced on October 26.
