2026 Ballon d’Or: He’s the clear candidate – Adeyemi names player to win award

Daily Post about 4 hours 1 mins read

Barcelona winger, Karim Adeyemi, has backed his new team mate Lamine Yamal to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

Adeyemi claims that the Spanish teenger is “a clear candidate” ahead of the rest.

Yamal is one of the 30 players that were included in the final shortlist for this year’s Ballon d’Or.

The 19-year-old won the World Cup with La Roja, after lifting the LaLiga and Copa del Rey titles with Barca.

“Lamine Yamal is a clear candidate to win the Ballon d’Or and it would be well deserved,” Adeyemi said.

Yamal has begun this new season in impressive fashion, scoring seven goals and providing two assists as Hansi Flick’s men sit top of LaLiga.
