2026 Ballon d’Or: One of the best players without doubt – Fran Garcia names winner

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Spain midfielder, Fran Garcia, has said Paris Saint-Germain’s Fabian Ruiz should win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

Garcia stated this while speaking with the media after Spain’s victory over Czechia in the UEFA Nations League.

He hailed Ruiz as one of the best players in the world, picking him ahead of Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.

“For me, he is one of the best players in the world, yes, without a doubt. One of the best, yes,” Garcia said.

When asked whether Yamal should in turn be crowned the next Ballon d’Or winner, however, Fran added: “For me, I would choose Fabián Ruiz.

“Even if he isn’t as eye-catching a player as Yamal.”
