Nigeria’s D’Tigress suffered a humiliating 111–56 defeat to France in their final group game at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
Rena Wakama’s side have already been eliminated from the competition following defeats to Hungary and South Korea in their opening two fixtures.
The African champions lost 99-81 to South Korea and fell 71-68 against Hungary.
France took control from the opening quarter, outscoring Nigeria 31–13, before extending the advantage to 65–26 at half-time.
The Europeans continued their dominance after the break, adding 30 points in the third quarter before closing out the contest with another 16 in the final period.
D’Tigress managed just 56 points, scoring 13 in each of the first three quarters before producing 17 in the fourth.
