Japan captain Honoka Yotsumoto says the players want to return home with the U-17 Women's World Cup trophy, DAILY POST reports.
Sadayoshi Shirai's side will be gunning for their first-ever title at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup when they take on Nigeria's Flamingos in the final on Saturday.
The Asians have made a big impression so far in Morocco, winning all their six matches, including difficult tests against Ghana and North Korea.
They must now beat the Flamingos to make it a memorable end to the competition.
Yotsumoto declared that they are heading into the final in a confident mood.
"We've managed to overcome barriers that had held us back for so long, one step at a time – that has given us a lot of confidence.
"Now we have just one more match to win, and we're determined to make history," she told FIFA.
