Flamingos captain Harmony Chidi has said the players are determined to make Nigeria proud by winning the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup title.
Akeem Busari's side will take on Japan in the final of the competition at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, Pitch 4, Rabat on Saturday (today).
It will be the first-ever meeting between the two countries at this level.
The Flamingos will be aiming to win the title for the first time, while Japan will be targeting their second crown.
Chidi said that reaching the final is a big thing and they want to return home with the trophy.
"Reaching the final is a very big thing; it's a great thing, and it's something that we have dreamed of. [Winning] would be something myself, my country, my teammates, our coaches, and everybody would be proud of," Chidi told FIFA.
The highly anticipated encounter will start at 7.30 pm Nigerian time.
