Falconets head coach, Moses Aduku remains positive despite his team’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, DAILY POST reports.
Nigeria bowed out of the biennial competition following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Colombia at Stadion Miejski LKS, Lodz, on Sunday afternoon.
Valerin Loboa scored a dramatic 92nd-minute winner for the South Americans, who will now face DPR Korea in the semi-final.
A number of Nigerian players caught the eye in Poland, with goalkeeper Christianah Uzoma, Tosin Rafiu, Janet Akekoromowei and Ramotalahi Kareem among those who impressed the most.
Aduku believes the players have a bright future ahead of them, praising their performances and potential to make a significant impact going forward.
“I think, first and foremost, this tournament is good for the young players,” Aduku told FIFA.
“It gives them the ability to grow and reach the next level. I think, in Nigeria, we have seen the future of our players. And I think the future is very bright.”
