2026 World Cup: Ghana suffer injury blow ahead of Colombia clash

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Ghana will be without Kojo Oppong Peprah, when they play Colombia in the last 32 of the 2026 World Cup on Saturday.

The 22-year-old defender has been ruled out of the game, after he picked up an injury in training.

Scans have confirmed that Peprah will not recover in time to feature in the match.

Peprah has made brief but memorable appearances at the World Cup so far.

He played for only three minutes against England and produced a heroic goal-line clearance with his head in the dying moments.

Against Croatia in the final group fixture, Peprah played the full second half.

The Black Stars will now be forced to consider other options for the Colombia clash.
