Jorge Jesus is set to become the head coach of the Portugal national team.
The 71-year-old will replace Roberto Martinez, who took charge of the squad to the 2026 World Cup.
Martinez has since announced that he would be leaving the role at the end of his contract.
Jesus recently left Saudi Pro League side, Al Nassr, where he won the title with Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Jorge Jesus to become new Portugal head coach, here we go! He’s accepted to take over after Roberto Martínez.
“Jorge Jesus will lead the project for Nations League, Euro 2028 and next World Cup.
“He’s won Saudi Pro League title at Al Nassr this season with Cristiano.”
