In extra time, Lisandro Martinez fired Argentina into the lead again, but Sidny Lopes Cabral curled in a stunning equalizer.
Cape Verde now become the seventh African country to be eliminated after Tunisia, South Africa, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria and DR Congo.
