Players and coaches of the Super Eagles have arrived back in Abuja following their 3-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
The defeat on Tuesday was Nigeria’s first in the series, after they came from behind to beat Madagascar 2-1 last Friday.
Franculino Djú gave the hosts a deserved lead in the first half, cutting in from the left before curling his shot past Stanley Nwabali.
After the break, Mama Baldé made it 2-0 before Álvaro Djaló added a third in stoppage time.
The result leaves the Eagles in second place in Group L with three points.
Guinea-Bissau have won their first two qualifying games and sit top of the group with six points.
Madagascar and Tanzania both have one point apiece after playing out a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
