2027 AFCONQ: What I expect from Madagascar in Uyo – Fernandez

Super Eagles defender, Emmanuel Fernandez, has revealed what he expects from Madagascar in a 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier on Friday.

Speaking to Football Fans Tribe, Fernandez said he expects Madagascar to put up a fight against the Super Eagles in Uyo.

The Rangers star said, “Look, I am expecting Madagascar to be very strong team and I feel like they are going to have a lot of resilient and energy, that’s something we are going to need to match and show our quality through matching their energy.”

Nigeria and Madagascar have met five times in senior men’s international matches. Nigeria has won three of those encounters; Madagascar has won one while one clash ended in a draw.

After the Madagascar match, Nigeria will face Guinea-Bissau in their next AFCON qualifier on Tuesday.
