2027: Akume, Sule, Information Minister mobilise North Central for Tinubu, target highest votes

Daily Post about 1 hour 2 mins read

Nigeria’s Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, Minister of Information Idris Mohammed, and other political heavyweights of the All Progressives Congress have begun mobilisation to deliver the highest number of votes from the North Central region for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

This comes as Akume on Friday inaugurated the mobilisation forum led by Arc. Sonny Echono in Abuja.

According to Akume, the principal objective was to canvass support and mobilise a massive turnout for the President in the 2027 election.

He noted that the North Central’s objective was to deliver the highest regional vote total for the President.

On his part, Sule described the forum as a timely and necessary political vehicle.

Governor Sule observed that the challenges ahead of the 2027 election were gradually receding, adding that the latest voter register indicated strong support for the APC in the North Central.

He expressed confidence that the region would deliver the highest number of votes for the President.

Also, Idris described the movement as the first of its kind.

According to the convener of the forum, Echono, the conversation was no longer simply about whether President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would win the North Central, but about the region positioning itself to deliver the highest number of votes to the President in the 2027 election.
