The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on Monday visited the party’s Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari.
Yilwatda met the former Zamfara State governor at his residence in Maitama, Abuja.
At the time of filing this report, details of the meeting could not be ascertained.
This came barely three days after President Bola Tinubu constituted the Campaign Council for his re-election in the 2027 general elections and made Yari the Director-General.
DAILY POST reports that the appointment of Yari as the Campaign Council Director-General was greeted with criticism.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, described the Campaign Council as a rehabilitation centre for corruption suspects.
Similarly, the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, described the setting up of the Campaign Council as “dead on arrival”.
