2027: APC receives former ADC, NDC candidates in Abuja

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has received several former House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.

The party disclosed this on its X handle on Friday.

The defectors were received by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

The statement reads in part “The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on Friday received several former House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) into the APC.

“Prof. Yilwatda was accompanied by the National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, and the National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile-Idele, at the reception held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

“The defectors were drawn from Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Plateau and Sokoto states. They were led by Princess Asmau Aliyu, while Prof. Murtala Yusuf represented the ADC contingent and Mohammed Rabiu led the NDC group from Kaduna State.”
