2027: APC warns members against anti-party activities

By Hadiza Yusuf

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned its members against engaging in anti-party activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The warning was issued on Tuesday at the APC SAK Kano North 2027 programme, where party leaders urged members to remain loyal to the party and support its candidates.

The APC Zonal Chairman for Kano North, Abdullahi Magaji Lamba Bichi, said members were expected to vote for the party’s candidates across all positions.

He said the party’s constitution entitled its members to vote for APC candidates from the top to the bottom of the ballot.

Bichi warned that members who voted for other political parties while supporting APC candidates in other positions could face disciplinary action.

“Anyone who engages in anti-party activities should know that there are consequences. It can affect your position and may lead to disciplinary action by the party,” he said.

He described disagreements within the party as internal matters that could be resolved, urging members to put their differences aside and work together ahead of the elections.

“The minor disagreements within the party are internal and normal, but it is time for us to put them aside, unite and vote for APC candidates from the top to the bottom.

“We must work together to ensure the success of the APC in Kano and across Nigeria, and defeat the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC),” he said.

He also called on APC supporters to embark on grassroots mobilisation and support the party’s candidates, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and candidates for the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.

The zonal chairman urged members to ensure that the party secured votes across all positions on the ballot.

He also said the APC would reward loyal supporters with plots of land.

Bichi reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano North Senatorial District APC leadership to party unity, discipline and loyalty.

Earlier, the Chairman of the APC in Gharin Local Government Area, Shittu Madaki, welcomed party supporters to the programme and urged them to remain committed to the party.
