2027: Atiku leader other candidates are following – Kenneth Okonkwo

Daily Post 31 minutes 1 mins read

Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday said the former vice president is now the leader other candidates are following in the area of national discourse.

Okonkwo recalled that Atiku headed the country’s economic team while he was vice president from 1999 to 2007.

Posting on X, he disclosed that Atiku built Nigeria’s strongest economy while he was vice president.

He said: “Atiku is now the clear leader whom other candidates are following in every important national discourse. As the head of the economic team, between 1999 and 2007, and as the VP of Nigeria, he built the strongest economy so far for Nigeria. They paid subsidy and paid off our international debt.”

The veteran Nollywood actor turned lawyer assured that Atiku will restore fuel subsidy if elected President.

“Atiku is humane and humble. His promise to bring back subsidy is a reflection of his policy of putting people and their welfare first.

“Let us join hands and elect this great patriot into office come 16 January 2026 for the security and welfare of all Nigerians,” he added.
