Abba Atiku Abubakar, the son of the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has dumped his father and declared support for the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu.
The son, who is also a Commissioner in Adamawa State, unveiled his plan to deliver Adamawa State to Tinubu in 2027, vowing that the President will win the state.
Atiku (jnr) made the vow on Friday at the All Progressives Congress, APC, national Secretariat in Abuja.
According to him, President Tinubu has done well for the North and deserves a second term.
"My father is Atiku Abubakar, but Nigeria comes first. Tinubu has shown capacity and I will deliver Adamawa for him in 2027," he said.
He said he has already started mobilising youths and stakeholders in Adamawa to ensure Tinubu's victory.
The former Vice President's son stressed that Adamawa, which Atiku won in 2023, will not go to the former Vice President in 2027.
"2023 was different. In 2027, Adamawa is for Tinubu. I will personally lead the campaign to make sure we deliver the state," he added.
