Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has said Nigerians no longer collect N1000 or N2000 to attend political rallies across the country.
Uzodimma said such days when Nigerians are given peanuts to attend political rallies are gone.
The governor spoke during the Association of All Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, General Assembly in the state.
He also said President Bola Tinubu's vision is making Nigerians to take ownership of their destinies and the country, adding that the state is behind the president.
According to the governor: "Today we have here seated 1000 households, so we start with this 1000 and we will do more. What I want to here is that by tomorrow you have started planting, it does not take time, just very close to your house, plant it and in a few months, you have started harvesting.
"So, on behalf of you the beneficiaries I want to congratulate President Bola Tinubu for this new vision, wisdom in making us take ownership of our own country and destiny, so when you go home remember him. I have seen all of you with shirts of Bola Tinubu.
"You have seen that the days are gone when you call people to talk about politics, you summon big rallies where people go from morning till night and you give them N1000 or N2000, that is an old order, it's gone and we want the new order.
"For we in Imo State we are happy and comfortable with the leadership vision and style of President Tinubu, and he can take our words to the bank. At the same time we want prosperity, in fact we want the prosperity of Nigeria to start in Imo State."
