Evangelist Ebuka Obi has reportedly expressed confidence in the political future of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, predicting victory for him in the 2027 Lagos governorship election.
The cleric made the statement during Hamzat’s visit to his ministry today, where he reportedly said he had prayed for the deputy governor and believed he would emerge victorious in next year’s governorship race.
However, beyond his prediction, Evangelist Ebuka Obi also delivered a strong message to the Lagos governorship aspirant, urging him to protect the businesses and livelihoods of Igbo people in the state.
According to the evangelist, he had already warned Hamzat against demolishing businesses owned by Igbo residents, stressing the importance of protecting people’s investments and ensuring that traders can continue to earn a living without fear.
His remarks have added an interesting dimension to the political conversation ahead of the 2027 Lagos governorship election, as attention gradually shifts to the candidates who may shape the state’s future.
While political support and prayers may boost an aspirant’s confidence, the cleric’s message highlights an issue that remains important to many residents: the need for fair treatment, protection of businesses, and policies that allow everyone to thrive in Lagos, regardless of their ethnic background.
As the race for the Lagos Government House draws closer, many will be watching to see how the leading political figures address concerns about business ownership, urban development, and the welfare of residents across the state.
