Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has said he is supporting the Labour Party presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The governor spoke in interview with Arise TV, aired on Friday.
“I have a presidential candidate and it is expected that I support my candidate,” Otti said.
The governor said President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has the right to run for the election, stating that there is no reason for him to oppose the President’s re-election bid.
“He (Tinubu) has the right to run and nobody can stop him. But I’m in the Labour Party and for now, he has my support,” he said.
