Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has urged the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to team up with Peter Obi to push the ruling party out of power.
Fayose made the call in a video he posted on his verified Facebook page on Thursday.
The video came after the court ruling on the ADC leadership crisis.
The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Peter Lifu, had on Thursday nullified the David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and voided the process that produced former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
In the video, Fayose asked Atiku to look closely at the judgment.
"Atiku should go and study that judgment very well; he will notice something fishy," he said.
"Our judiciary is no longer independent. Look at our youths; they are more interested in online sagas," he said.
He then urged Atiku to join Peter Obi in the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
"Please, Atiku, this is the time to join forces with Peter Obi in the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, to pursue the All Progressives Congress, APC, out of power," he said.
