2027: Lagos Assembly Speaker Obasa secures APC House of Representatives ticket

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has secured the House of Representatives ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Obasa emerged as the APC consensus candidate for Agege Federal Constituency on Saturday.

He was announced as the winner during the party’s primary election held within the constituency.

DAILY POST gathered that the election was witnessed by hundreds of party members.

The Speaker, while speaking at the event, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from his constituents.

Obasa promised the people more dividends of democracy.

Addressing the gathering, the Speaker said: “I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me by our leaders and members.

“Today’s validation is not just about me; it is about our collective resolve to continue building Agege and Lagos State on the foundation of progress and development.”
