The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, has urged Nigerians to renew President Bola Tinubu’s mandate in 2027.
Oba Ewuare said Tinubu should be allowed to continue his good works in 2027.
The monarch spoke while receiving the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, led by its Director General, Abdulazeez Yari, in his palace Benin, Edo State on Tuesday.
He said: “For somebody who is doing well, it is our prayer that he gets a renewed mandate.”
The monarch quoted the Bible to justify the need for President Tinubu to be allowed to continue for a second term.
He said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. If one is doing well, why not join hands with the president to do what he is doing well. Let President Tinubu finish the good work.
“Convey my best wishes to Mr. President, give my appreciation to the president for receiving me so warmly in Abuja.”
