Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, on Saturday, assured President Bola Tinubu that the North will repay him with massive votes in 2027.
Sani said Tinubu's administration has been instrumental in ensuring a lot of projects are sited across the North.
He spoke during the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign flag-off in Kaduna.
Hailing Tinubu, Sani said, "It took us four hours from Kaduna to Birnin Gwari, and we went to Birnin Gwari with 27 armoured vehicles escorting you, Mr President, our Vice President and other members of our party.
"Today, Mr President, I can assure you that the two promises you made, you have fulfilled.
"You promised to construct Kaduna to Birnin Gwari road 123km that was abandoned for over 40 years and as we speak, money has been released to the contractor and the project is ongoing.
"The people of Birnin Gwari and Kaduna State will forever remain grateful to you for this intervention.
"You assured us that you will address the issue of insecurity along the corridor of Birnin Gwari; today you can travel there with your eyes closed without a single Police escort, Mr President, and that is progress.
"Again, when we came in 2023, in Kaduna State alone more than 300 schools were closed because of insecurity, more than 150 primary healthcare centres were closed, but today, I'm happy to inform you that all the schools and primary healthcare centres have been reopened.
"I want to thank you for choosing Kaduna State to be the pilot state for the Metropolitan Red Line project in Nigeria.
"$865 million has been approved, and the contractor informed me last week that he has been mobilised for the Kaduna Metropolitan Red Line, which is about a 50 km corridor.
"I want to assure you that the people of northern Nigeria will repay you with their votes."
