Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, APC-PCC, Abdulaziz Yari, has claimed that governorship candidates of opposition parties are backing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Yari made the claim after an event in Ekiti State.
According to him, governorship candidates of opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Allied Peoples Movement, APM, and Social Democratic Party, SDP, are actively expressing solidarity with Tinubu.
"People that contested with our Governor, candidates from the PDP, APM and SDP, are all here together to show solidarity and togetherness with the Governor when it comes to Bola Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu in 2027," he said.
He added that Ekiti State and the entire South would deliver massive votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
DAILY POST reports that Tinubu is among 18 candidates expected to contest in the 2027 presidential election, alongside Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, and Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
