Ali Bukar Dalori, a public affairs analyst and Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has explained why President Bola Tinubu will defeat Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in his home state of Adamawa and four other states in the North-East during the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking at an event in Abuja on Wednesday, Dalori said Tinubu’s grassroots support base would secure victory for him in Borno, Yobe, Gombe and other states in the North-East geopolitical zone during the 2027 presidential election.
He said his position was informed by his experience as a grassroots politician and his understanding of the political dynamics in the North-East.
Dalori dismissed concerns that Atiku was gaining traction in the region and could emerge victorious by a landslide.
“I don't think that Atiku can disrupt the North-East. Why? Even Adamawa, his hometown, he will not win, even at his polling unit. I will assure you of that,” he said.
DAILY POST reports that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, and 15 other presidential candidates are seeking to replace Tinubu in the January 16, 2027, presidential election.
Last Saturday, Tinubu kicked off his campaign rally in Kaduna.
The president is expected to tour major geopolitical zones across the country to seek re-election.
