2027: Pro-Tinubu group woos South-East with SEDC, infrastructure projects

Political support group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, RTIFN, has said the establishment of the South East Development Commission, SEDC, under President Bola Tinubu will serve as a catalyst for boosting the industrial and economic potential of the South-East region.

The group said the Tinubu administration has recorded significant achievements across various sectors in the South-East and called on the people of the region to support the President’s re-election in 2027.

It identified road construction, infrastructure development, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, the SEDC, agriculture, security and other sectors as key areas where the administration has made an impact.

The group stated this during a South-East Regional Town Hall Meeting, which brought together more than 5,000 grassroots mobilisers for President Tinubu at the International Convention Centre in Anambra State.

Speaking at the event, the Director-General of RTIFN, Ahmed Bala, represented by the National Director of Town Hall and Special Duties, Dr Farida Deborah Ibrahim, highlighted the achievements of the Tinubu administration in road construction, infrastructure development, regional stability, security, education through the NELFUND initiative and federal partnerships aimed at strengthening commercial activities across the South-East.

She urged the mobilisers to intensify grassroots efforts to canvass support and mobilise votes for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in their respective wards and polling units ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The host and chief organiser of the town hall meeting, the South-East Zonal Coordinator of RTIFN, Chief JohnBosco Onunkwo, also said the establishment of the SEDC would serve as a catalyst for unlocking the industrial and economic potential of the region.

The National Secretary of RTIFN, Eleojo Audu, who led the national executive delegation to the event, commended the South-East electorate and grassroots mobilisers for the impressive turnout. He particularly praised the people of Anambra State for hosting what he described as a successful event.

The event was attended by several national and deputy national officers of the organisation, including Zion Igwemma, National Director of Liaison; Umar Farouk, National Youth Leader; Adakole Ochai, Director of Student and Youth Engagement; Rahma Umar, Director of Welfare; Mr Musa Abdulrahaman, Director of Media and Publicity; Mr Lulu Famweihmi, Director of Contact and Mobilisation; Ms Miriam Okonkwo, Director of Administration; Ms Shalom Edigan, Deputy Director of Strategy and Deployment; Mr Charles Ibefuna, Deputy Director of Humanitarian Affairs; Precious Zimat, Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation; and Hon.
