Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

With 99 days to the 2027 general elections, the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, has described the Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, as the power Nigerians have.

Makinde, who is the Governor of Oyo State, urged Nigerians to use their PVCs wisely during the 2027 general elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced the nationwide collection of newly issued PVCs.

INEC said the collection of PVCs will begin on Friday, October 9, 2026.

The announcement followed the completion of three phases of Continuous Voter Registration, CVR,  which produced 10,772,421 new registrations pending final verification through the Automated Biometric Identification System, ABIS.

Makinde, in a video, said: “Fellow Nigerians, INEC has set October 9th as the date for people to start collecting their Permanent Voters Card. This is your power irrespective of who you want to vote for.

“Please go out, collect your PVC and you will use it wisely in the 2027 election cycle.”
