Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has promised President Bola Tinubu three million votes in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Fubara gave the assurance on Saturdays at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
"Rivers will give you three million votes. We will stand by you. We will work for you. We will deliver for you,” Fubara said.
The governor said Rivers is fully behind Tinubu, stressing that the state has decided and there is no going back.
Fubara also stated that the time of division in Rivers politics was over, noting that leaders in the state are now speaking with one voice. According to him, that voice is for Tinubu.
Fubara said Tinubu has shown love to Rivers State and the state will pay him back with votes in 2027.
"We are not just talking. We will show it with our votes," he said. "Rivers people know how to keep their word."
He urged supporters to go back to their wards and units and start the work, noting that the three million votes will not come by sitting at home.
