The All Progressives Congress, APC, has cautioned the opposition parties to focus on their internal crises, court cases and stop blaming the ruling party for the problems they are going through.
APC Chairman in Jigawa State, Ahmad Garba, disclosed this while speaking to journalists after the inauguration of the state campaign council.
He said the party is getting stronger day by day; therefore, its chances of winning the 2027 general election are clearer than those of the 2023 election.
According to him, "Looking at the situation of the opposition parties compared to what they were in the 2023 general election, they are more demoralised and confused."
He said the opposition parties, ADC, NDC, PDP and other political parties have no relevance in Jigawa State and the country; hence, they don't have any basis for winning an election.
He cautioned opposition parties against blaming the ruling party for their internal crises, urging them to address their leadership disputes and other challenges.
The party said opposition parties should take responsibility for their internal problems rather than attempting to shift the blame to the ruling APC.
The APC maintained that the challenges confronting opposition parties were internal matters that should be resolved through dialogue, mutual understanding and respect for party rules.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to democratic principles and called on all political parties to embrace issue-based campaigns as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
