2027: ‘Tell Kingibe bye-bye, don't abuse her’ – Wike mocks FCT senator

Daily Post about 4 hours 1 mins read

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has mocked the FCT senator, Ireti Kingibe, saying residents have decided to vote her out in 2027.

Speaking at a project commissioning in Abuja on Monday, Wike said the people of the FCT are tired of the senator and have already said bye-bye to her.

"We have decided to tell Ireti Kingibe bye-bye. Don't abuse her o, just say sister, aunty bye-bye," Wike said.

Recall that Wike and Kingibe have been at loggerheads since 2023, with Wike accusing the senator of playing politics instead of working for the people.

The minister boasted that the senator, who won on the Labour Party platform in 2023 but is now with the African Democratic Congress, ADC, will not return to the Senate, adding that she has failed to attract any project to the FCT.

According to him, instead of collaborating with him to develop Abuja, Kingibe was busy fighting him on social media and television.

At the time of filing this report, Senator Kingibe is yet to respond to Wike's latest attack.
