2027: ‘Tinubu exposed, should step down’ – Atiku’s spokesman, Kenneth Okonkwo

Daily Post 10 minutes 2 mins read

Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has said President Bola Tinubu should step down as Nigeria’s leader because he is “unwell”.

Okonkwo said the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council has exposed Tinubu’s incapacity to take part in campaign activities.

Tinubu had said that he would not go to every state to campaign because he needs to focus on governing Nigeria.

He, however, promised to address Nigerians directly.

Reacting, Okonkwo said Nigerians should vote for a president who is able to lead the country.

Okonkwo said Nigerians should elect Atiku over Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Posting on X, he wrote: “The launch of the APC Presidential Campaign Council has finally shown that Tinubu is not physically able to handle the difficult work of a presidential campaign.

“Gov Hope Uzodinma suggested that Tinubu will remain in his position and focus on managing the country while they keep working on their campaign.

“APC was actually hinting to the President in a roundabout way to stay in the hospital and focus on his health, instead of letting his condition get worse and embarrassing them by appearing uncontrolled and saying inappropriate things at events.

“Tinubu said he won’t be taking part in the campaign but will talk to Nigerians from his office. I agree that the President should leave his position as President because he is not well, so that Nigeria can be led by a healthy and suitable leader.

“Nigeria needs a new leader and they should remove Tinubu from power because he will not be an effective president.

“Nigerians should vote for HE Atiku Abubakar to help create a Nigeria where things are more affordable.”
