The Gambia Police Force has dismissed Police Constable Alieu G Camara, whose actions in a widely shared video showed him threatening a shopkeeper. Two other officers—Police Constable Buba Touray and Police Constable Ismaila Bah—were also dismissed for separate misconduct.
All three officers were formally charged, pleaded guilty at Orderly Room hearings, and were immediately dismissed. PC Camara had been arrested and confined to barracks pending disciplinary action after the video circulated.
The Gambia Police Force said the dismissals reflect a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct and reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, discipline, and accountability. The Force warned that any officer who breaches laws, regulations, or ethical.
