The Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) has congratulated Hon. Mansour Lambarki upon his election as Secretary-General of the Istiqlal Youth Organization of Morocco, describing his victory as a reflection of confidence in his leadership, commitment, and dedication to advancing the interests of young people.
In a congratulatory message, AAYC Secretary-General, Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba, on behalf of the Council, its membership, and his own behalf, extended sincere congratulations and best wishes to Hon. Lambarki as he assumes his new responsibilities.
Dr. Agaba said the election of Hon. Lambarki demonstrates recognition of his distinguished record in youth engagement and political participation, as well as his ability to serve and advocate for the aspirations of young people.
“Your success in this election is a testament to your distinguished record in youth and political engagement and reflects the confidence placed in you in recognition of your competence, commitment, and dedication to serving young people and advocating for their aspirations,” Dr. Agaba stated.
The AAYC Secretary-General highlighted the long-standing relationship between the Afro-Arab Youth Council and the Istiqlal Youth Organization, noting that the Moroccan youth organisation remains one of the Council’s founding organisations and an active partner in advancing youth cooperation between Africa and the Arab world.
Dr. Agaba acknowledged the Istiqlal Youth Organization’s continued contribution to AAYC initiatives and programmes, particularly in strengthening collaboration, communication, and solidarity among Arab and African youth.
“The Afro-Arab Youth Council proudly recalls and acknowledges the distinguished status of the Istiqlal Youth Organization as one of the Council’s founding organisations and as an active and dynamic member that has continuously contributed to its initiatives and programmes,” he said.
The Secretary-General expressed confidence that Hon. Lambarki’s leadership will further enhance the organisation’s role in empowering young people, promoting youth participation, and deepening cooperation within the Afro-Arab Youth Council framework.
He added that stronger coordination between Moroccan, Arab, and African youth organisations remains vital in addressing shared challenges and creating opportunities for young people across the two regions.
Dr. Agaba further wished Hon. Lambarki and the newly elected Executive Bureau a successful tenure marked by achievement, dedication, and continued progress.
“We avail ourselves to you for any support that you may require in your tour of duty,” he said.
The Afro-Arab Youth Council brings together young people and youth organisations from Africa and the Arab world with the aim of promoting cooperation, dialogue, leadership development, peace, and sustainable socio-economic transformation among young people.
