Abia varsity lecturers suspend strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Abia State University branch, has suspended its ongoing industrial action and directed members to resume academic duties with immediate effect from Friday, August 28, 2026. The decision was reached at the union’s congress meeting held on Friday, where members reviewed developments surrounding the issues that led to the strike.
