Bolaji Amusan, the Nigerian actress famously known in the Yoruba film industry as Mr Latin, has graduated from the National Open University (NOUN).

The veteran actor announced his graduation on Instagram on Saturday.

He shared a photo of himself in a convocation gown, announcing that he had earned a Bachelor’s degree in peace and conflict resolution.

“Today, I am proud to be conferred with a BSc in peace and conflict resolution. Done and Dusted! To God be the glory,” he wrote.

In another post, the 59-year-old film star shared a video from the convocation ceremony, expressing gratitude to his family, friends, and colleagues, including Odunlade Adekola and Owolabi Ajasa, for their support and presence at the event.

“Thank you, Lord, for the successful convocation. My sincere appreciation to my family, friends and well-wishers for your love and support. Odunlade Adekola, thank you so much. Owolabi Ajasa and Toymax Film Holdings thank you as always,” he wrote.

The degree comes a year after he was conferred with an honorary doctorate in Leadership and Humanities by the American University of Peace and Governance.

Mr Latin, known for his comic roles in the Yoruba film industry, is also a filmmaker, director, and producer with decades of experience.

He has served as the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) since 2018.
