The late Nollywood veteran, Taiwo Hassan, professionally known as Ogogo, will be buried on Monday.
Ogogo will be buried on August 24, 2026, less than 24 hours after his death, according to Islamic burial rites.
The burial prayer will take place by 10 am tomorrow at Asade Agunloye Pavilion in Ilaro, Ogun State.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Ilaro Chief Imam and shared by Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of the Best of Nollywood, BON Awards, on Instagram.
The announcement reads: “Ogogo to be buried 10am Tommorrow.
INALILAHI WAHINA ILLAEHOLI RAJHIUN
“THE ILARO MUSLIM COMMUNITY WISHES TO ANNOUNCE THE BURIAL OF OUR BELOVED BROTHER, ALHAJI HASSAN TAIWO (OGOGO),” the Chief Imam said.
DAILY POST reports that the burial announcement came less than two hours after Ogogo’s death was made public.
The actor died on Sunday evening after losing the battle to stage 4 cancer.
