Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, yesterday, congratulated traditional religious worshippers in the state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Isese Day celebration, reiterating his administration’s commitment to religious harmony in the state.

Adeleke underlined the significance of Isese Day on identity and spirituality of adherents, saying the annual festival is a celebration of the faiths in traditional religion and reminds all that the diversity of faiths in Osun enriched everyone.

He said, “I honour the rich tradition that defines this celebration, and congratulates every adherent, particularly in Osun State, on this remarkable occasion.

“As governor, I have demonstrated deep respect for the diversity in faiths of the people, tailoring our programmes and interventions to unite and not divide.”

Adeleke enjoined traditional religion worshippers to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for peace and progress of Osun State, in particular, and Nigeria, as a whole, while admonishing them to be modest and responsible in the cause of the celebration.

He prayed for a joyous celebration and impressed it on all Osun residents to remain assured that his administration would continue to deliver for the people.
