Human rights lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF).

Adeyanju described the appointment of Enitan, a seasoned administrator, as timely and commendable, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience would help drive reforms in the civil service.

In a statement, Adeyanju urged the new Head of Service to prioritise measures to eliminate corruption and the ghost workers syndrome in the civil service.

He also called on Enitan to strengthen efficiency, professionalism and accountability across the public service.

Adeyanju said the new appointment provides an opportunity to deepen reforms and improve the effectiveness of the civil service in delivering quality services to Nigerians.

He urged Enitan to use his experience to tackle longstanding challenges confronting the service and restore greater public confidence in the institution.
