Nigeria’s advertising and marketing industry is set to examine how businesses can sustain growth, strengthen consumer trust and navigate artificial intelligence amid persistent economic headwinds.
These themes will take centre stage on July 23 when Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) convene its members and industry leaders for the 2026 Annual General Meeting and Executive Leadership Session in Lagos later this month.
The meeting would review governance matters, while new executive council members will also be selected to guide the Association through its next phase.
The forum holding at Ikeja is expected to bring together chief executives, chief marketing officers and brand custodians, including former Presidential Economic Adviser and Managing Director of KAINOS Edge Consulting Ltd, Doyin Salami, who will be delivering the keynote address.
Salami will be offering perspective on the economic realities shaping business performance, consumer behaviour under the theme “The New Rules of Growth: Navigating Nigeria’s Evolving Economy and Consumer Landscape”.
He will be sharing insight into how business leaders and marketers can adapt their strategies to remain resilient, relevant, and competitive.
The event will also have the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EBO and Vettify, Crystal I. Berger who will lead a session on “The Future of Brand Trust: Thriving in an AI-Powered World.” The discussion will explore how organisations can build and sustain credibility as artificial intelligence transforms marketing, communications and customer engagement.
Commenting, ADVAN President, Osamede Uwubanmwen, stated that businesses now require greater strategic insight to remain competitive in present operating environment, adding that ADVAN 2026 AGM and executive leadership session come at a defining moment for the industry.
The President also said the association remains committed to equipping members with the leadership capacity and market intelligence required to drive sustainable growth in Nigeria’s marketing and advertising industry.
