Akor Adams will lead the Super Eagles attack in Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Madagascar in the absence of the injured Victor Osimhen, DAILY POST reports.
The Venezia striker, according to a reliable camp source is favoured ahead of George Ilenikhena, Tolu Arokodare, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Moses Usor, who are the other strikers called up for the games against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
Akor has established himself as a key player for the Super Eagles since scoring on his debut against Lesotho last October.
The 26-year-old has scored six goals in 15 appearances for the three-time African champions.
Nigeria will host the Barea of Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.
The Group L encounter will kick-off at 5pm local time.
