AFCON 2027Q: Ilenikhena thrilled to make Super Eagles bow

George Ilenikhena has shared his excitement following his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.

Ilenikhena made his maiden appearance for the West Africans in Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday one encounter against the Barea of Madagascar.

The 20-year-old scored Nigeria’s opening goal of the game late in the first half.

Substitute Moses Usor scored the winning goal for the visitors 25 minutes from time.

Ilenikhena promised to keep working hard for the team.

“Proud to have made my debut with the national team. We keep working,” Ilenikhena wrote on Instagram page.
