Air pollution: EPA to launch enforcement exercise on open burning

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) is set to launch a compliance enforcement exercise targeting open burning as part of efforts to tackle air pollution in Ghana. The Authority said open burning of waste is among the major sources of air pollution in the country, alongside transport emissions, industrial and commercial activities, and the use of firewood and charcoal for cooking.
