Aircraft crash: NAF won’t leave any stones unturned in investigation – Air chief assures

Daily Post about 3 hours 2 mins read

The Chief of Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has assured that the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring a thorough investigation into the aircraft crash in Ondo State.

Aneke gave the assurance on Thursday while addressing the press on the incident.

He expressed condolence to Nigerians, NAF and the families of the victims.

According to him, a specialised delegation comprising military and civilian safety experts have been tasked with the investigation.

“I basically knew everyone on that flight. I’ve flown on this airplane. My family has flown on the plane. I know each of the crew personally. They were highly trained, professional and intelligent officers.

“The best we can do is to honour the sacrifice they have put with those on board this aircraft.

“I want to assure the families of our loved ones that the Nigerian Air Force will leave no stones unturned in ensuring that whatever happened here is properly investigated.

“I have tasked my standard of safety and evaluation to come up with a high-level delegation comprising of both military and civilian safety experts, retired senior officers, experienced efforts officers, to sit down and get to the bottom of what happened.

“This is not the time to start stipulating and agree with the general public who’ve lost people who are fighting for the nation. The best you can do for them is to be really patient and let those who are specialists get to the bottom of what has happened,” he said.
