Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade has underwent successful surgery following the injury she sustained on international duty with Nigeria.
Ajibade sustained the injury during the second leg of Nigeria's 2028 Olympic Games second qualifying round fixture against Comoros on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old is now expected to spend time on the sidelines as she recovers from the injury.
The forward confirmed the successful surgery on her Instagram page, while also thanking her fans for their love, support, and prayers.
“Surgery done. Recovery mode on. Thank you all for the love and prayers. Back soon for His greater glory,” she wrote.
Ajibade's recovery timeline remains unclear.
