Amb. Nekesa donates land to build NRM district offices in Busia

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Treasurer, Amb. Barbara Nekesa Oundo, has donated land to the ruling party to construct offices in Busia district.

Amb. Nekesa handed over a freehold land title measuring 0.111 ha to the NRM Secretary General, Rt Hon. Richard Todwong, on behalf of the Secretariat.

The land is located in Busia Municipality at Plot 31 along Hadongole Road.

“I procured this land in July 2011, just a month into the 9th Parliament. I later acquired different properties after that and subsequently developed them, but for close to 15 years, this particular one has remained vacant, I think it was meant to host the Party in Busia District,” Amb. Nekesa said.

“I am, therefore, more than happy to now donate it to where it was destined to be,” Amb. Nekesa told the Secretary General and other top management leaders.

Rt Hon. Todwong commended the National Treasurer for being a good member and cadre of the Movement, highly dedicated to the Party’s growth.

“You have demonstrated exemplary leadership to the NRM members in Busia and the country at large,” Rt. Hon. Todwong said.
