“Anyone Who Blocks 2.5m Votes For Tinubu Will Receive ‘AK-47 Fire'” – Edo APC Chair

The Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarret Tenebe, has threatened to invoke the “power of AK-47” against anyone plotting to thwart the party’s plan to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Tenebe made the threat at one of the campaign rallies held as Governor Monday Okpebholo toured the 18 Local Government Areas of the state to galvanise support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a viral video seen by Daily Trust, Tenebe was heard threatening to silence anyone who stands against the party’s plan to achieve 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu.

According to him, the number of votes a state delivers to the Federal Government could influence its development prospects, including the creation of additional local government areas and states.

He said invoking the spirit of “Holy Ghost fire” against those who might obstruct the party’s bid to secure 2.5 million votes would be heavier, while invoking the “General Purpose Machine Gun” spirit was lighter.

“So anybody who refuses, who wants to stand in our way of not getting the 2.5 million votes we want to give to Mr President, AK-47 fire,” he said.

According to him, when the governor made a promise to the President that the state would deliver 2.5 million votes, “our haters, the opposition people and the social media politicians” started asking where such votes would come from in Edo State.

Tenebe also claimed that the governor had previously proved his critics wrong by mobilising 2,156,800 votes for the party during the last local government elections in the state.
