APC Administration Has Brought Nigeria Deeper Into Poverty — Atiku

Channels TV about 2 hours 2 mins read

Former vice president and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of plunging the country into worse cases of poverty since assuming office in 2023.

Atiku alleged this while addressing a state of the nation broadcast at the party’s Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, as the country marked its 66th Independence Day Anniversary.

He referenced rising insecurity and the cost of living as failures of this administration, while also faulting Tinubu’s comment on a stable economy, as far from the reality on the ground.

President Tinubu had in his address to Nigerians on October 1, explained that the various economic reforms were starting to turn into “prosperity”.

Atiku, however, noted that @66, the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration has brought Nigeria “deeper into poverty, far from the dreams of the founding fathers”.

He, however, urged citizens not to despair, as the 2027 election provides them with the opportunity to elect a leader that can drive the country to prosperity.

The ADC presidential candidate also made a demand for the immediate release of “unlawfully” detained individuals.
He further appealed to electorates to come out and vote. He warns against the propaganda that the ruling party has already written the results for 2027.

He asks the electorate to come out and vote on election day and protect their votes.
